VIDEO: Madonna Compares MDNA Tour to a Soul’s Journey From Darkness to Light

While in Italy on her 2012 MDNA tour, Madonna sat down with Joseph Videtti for Repubblica TV, comparing her show to the journey of the soul.

“I see my show as a journey – the journey of anyone’s soul … in order to get to light you have to go through darkness. So it’s a bit like Dante’s inferno. It’s a bit of a labyrinth. We start out in the darkness and by the end of the show its light, and celebration and joy.”

Paul McCartney has been on a vegetarian diet for a long time (his youngest daughter is a vegan) and also practices Transcendental Meditation, which he learned from Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the 1960’s.

“Dream New Dreams” by Jai Pausch

Randy Pausch captivated the world with his book “The Last Lecture” before his death from pancreatic cancer in 2008. Now his wife, Jai, is telling her story in “Dream New Dreams: Reimagining My Life After Loss,” with the hope of helping others who are struggling in the role of caregiver, or looking to overcome the pain of loss.

Jai takes readers inside her life as a cancer caregiver, revealing how she learned to juggle caring for her husband and being a mother to three young children. She also offers successful strategies on how she dealt with the loss and grief as she became a single mother; highlights the unproductive behaviors and mindsets she needed to change; and explains how she learned to move forward and find love again with a new man.

Whether you have suffered a loss or are currently caring for someone who is ill, you will find both comfort and inspiration in “Dream New Dreams.”

Danny DeVito Follows His Bliss

Actor Danny DeVito recently told Empire Magazine he still enjoys working and has no intention of slowing down at the age of 67. He also revealed that he follows his instincts and does what makes him happy.

“I just like to do a lot of stuff. Follow my bliss, do what feels good inside. You get to the point where you’ve achieved a lot, and you could sit back and relax, but you’ll have to do that one day anyway,” he told the magazine. “If it’s fun getting up in the morning, you might as well keep going.”
