Arielle Ford: Attract Your Soulmate

By Jennifer McCartney

Have you ever wondered what it takes to find the love of your life? Is it your dream to find a life-partner who will love, cherish and adore you? Arielle Ford, author of the bestselling book “The Soulmate Secret” has been called, “The Cupid of Consciousness” and “The Fairy Godmother of Love,” and she shared her secrets to manifesting the love of your life — secrets she used to manifest her own soulmate at age 44, and has taught to countless people worldwide, as part of the “Living an Elevated Existence Mind, Body & Soul Summit Season 2,” including:

  • How to become a magnet for love
  • Techniques you can use to take control of your romantic destiny
  • Key steps to manifesting your soulmate
  • How to start preparing for your soulmate right now (it will help you attract him or her)

“I believe a soulmate is first and foremost somebody you can completely be yourself with,” Ford shared. “Somebody with who you share unconditional love, and someone who, when you look into their eyes, you feel like you’re home.”

Additionally, over the course of our lifetimes we have many soulmates — best friends, family members, coworkers and romantic partners — and there are a number of key steps we can take to attract a new romantic love soulmate. And we must be willing to put in a little time and effort.

She used the example of a single mother who was recently out of work. The mother would actively take steps to find another job. She would update her resume, go on interviews, and talk to others about finding a job. She wouldn’t be sitting at home saying “if it’s meant to be it will happen.” However, this is what most single women are doing when it comes to finding love. She encouraged people to get online, check out dating sites, ask friends for help, and put out into the universe the intention to find love.

Other barriers to finding love may be our own mental roadblocks or limited beliefs about it. “There are a lot of people locked into their story,” Ford shared, explaining sometimes women over 60 will get discouraged and quote statistics about how there are more women than men left in the dating pool. Or some women will tell themselves only once they lose weight will they find love. But Arielle’s mother-in-law found love online at age 80, and the average wedding dress size sold in the United States is a size 16, she said.

If you’re thinking you have to lose weight to find love, it isn’t true. You have to let go of that belief,” she said.

Step to Manifesting a Soulmate
Ford also shared the steps she used in order to find her own true love at the age of 44. They include:

Forgiveness — She decided to forgive herself for past relationships, and made a list of men who she’d judged as having done her wrong in some way, so she could forgive them as well. “Forgiving is not about forgetting what happened or condoning what happens, but it is about letting go,” she said.

Clarity — We need to be clear about what our heart and soul desires in a partner, which is not about making a shopping list, such as tall, blue eyes, athletic build, etc. It’s an honest assessment of what is important to us. To create her own list, Ford looked back at the men in her life and noted the qualities they had that she knew she wanted, and a list of things she didn’t want. The list can be as long or as short as you need it to be—it can be 10 or a 100 items, she said. Two important things that should be on everyone’s list are: “My soulmate is open, willing and available for a long-term committed, monogamous marriage or relationship.” And if we know we want children, that should be included as well. The second is to add “My soulmate already lives within 50 miles of my town or is willing to move,” unless we are looking to move as well.

She also recommends sitting down with a friend and reviewing the list so we get another perspective. For example, does he really need to be a CEO and concert-level pianist? Or can he be just an okay pianist? We want someone to question us as to whether the items on the list will contribute to our long-term happiness, and be sure we didn’t miss any deal breakers.

Release — Next, it’s time to release the list. This helps us become unattached to the outcome. Once Ford had her list, she wrote out another copy on nice stationary and burned it under the light of a new moon. To celebrate the release, she took herself out for lunch and ordered a glass of champagne—toasting her as yet unknown soulmate.

Vision Board — The final step is to create a vision board of your future. A collage of magazine clippings and images on a piece of poster board—a visual representation of the future you’re intending. We are not trying to manifest Brad Pitt or George Clooney, she explained, but rather a lifestyle. So include anything that evokes the feelings we are looking to manifest in a relationship, from a couple holding hands on a beach to a nice meal we would like to share together. This vision board helps focus our intentions and lets us manifest what our life together will look like.

Once we have all these steps completed, and we’ve created space for your future soulmate, the fun part begins. Now, Arielle said, “it’s a matter of waiting to see what the universe will bring you.”

Susann Taylor Shier: Activate Your Soul Purpose to Heal Your Soul Challenges

If you are ready to unlock the resources needed to activate the power of authentic, soul level fulfillment, bestselling author, speaker, intuitive channel, spiritual counselor and founder of Soul Mastery™ Susan Taylor Shier joined Tammy Mastroberte, Founder of Elevated Existence Magazine as part of the “Living an Elevated Existence Mind, Body & Soul Summit Season 2,” to explain to how we can discover our own soul challenges and soul gifts to enhance our lives and increase our spiritual wealth. Shier explained how we can uncover our hidden soul challenges, connect with our intuitive guidance, and awaken the skill of soulful manifestation.

“I really wanted to find out why we as unique individuals have challenges that are special to us,” she said, describing the beginning of her journey. It started with her colicky newborn, who she discovered was reacting to some past trauma she brought into her current life. She calls these traumas “soul wounds,” and explained they create each person’s soul challenge. By discovering our challenged, we can grow and overcome situations in our life where we find ourselves stuck.

“Our soul wounds keep us bogged down in the physical world,” she said. “A soul wound manifests itself before we begin our earth incarnations. We bring our soul wounds with us into this lifetime. It can be a physical manifestation or it can be an area where you’re not moving forward in life,” she told listeners. “We have so many issues in our life and we always ask why? Why did I get breast cancer and no one else in my family did? Why am I in financial straights? Everything has a soul level wound root to it. When you recognize that then it’s much easier to take care of it.”

In addition to soul wounds, we also have soul gifts. “Our soul gift is a knowing deep inside us,” she noted. “When we operate from that gift, the whole universe can support us.” But these gifts, like our soul wounds, are also often ignored or go unrecognized, which can lead to a feeling of purposelessness or despair. We find a purposeful when we uncover our soul strengths and gifts, and release our soul challenges, she said, encouraging listeners to ask what truly brings them joy.

“If your soul is involved, you’ll feel alive and joyful and happy,” she said. It’s about getting in touch with our spirit and intuition and accessing the part of ourselves that knows anything is possible. “If we are making our choices based on our soul longing, we live from a soul-directed, choice-filled life.”

Ad_560x90

So how do we find our soul wounds and our soul gifts? “Start to look for our greatest longing and our greatest challenge.” Often our challenges and gifts are linked, she said, giving the example of someone whose soul gift was love, but struggled to find a loving relationship. The challenge is the finding love, so the soul gift is love. Once we start to honor our gifts, we can release the challenges.

To help release soul challenges she shared an exercise that can be done at home.

Focus on a part of your body. Ask that part of your body what’s going on. It may give you words or just a feeling. Ask it what it needs. It may need love, confidence. Then you go into your heart and get that resource for them—connect to that larger field of the universe. Expand into the universe to connect you with that sense of support, love, feeling better, hope is on the way, how that wants to show up for you right now. Expand into the light, into the universe, into the galaxy, feeling, sensing, seeing, that capacity of what this part of you that is in separation is longing for. Allow the restricted part of you to fill with light and love.

By getting in touch with our spirit and pouring it into our bodies, it means we’re flushing out anything we don’t need, and allowing ourselves to fill with joy rather than pain. “The old patterns just flush out,” she said. “Where my cells were holding the wound of separation…you start to pour aliveness into your body and your cells begin to change.” But if we don’t get to the soul wound of it, we’ll keep running into the same soul challenges.

“What it feels like we can’t get to in life will help us get to know that’s what we actually want more than anything,” she said. It starts by focusing on creating joy in our lives and in our bodies.

Don Joseph Goewey: The End of Stress

By Jennifer McCartney

We are all well informed about the damage stress inflicts on our health, happiness, and efforts to succeed—a recent study has shown 77% of Americans suffer from stress. Yet most of us have given in to it, accepting stress as the new normal. The stress reduction programs we’ve tried simply haven’t worked.

But we shouldn’t give in. There is a solution.

Don Joseph Goewey, the founder and managing partner of ProAttitude, a company focused on ending work stress, and the author of “The End of Stress: Four Steps to Rewire Your Brain,” and “Mystic Cool: A Proven Approach to Transcend Stress, Achieve Optimal Brain Function, and Maximize Your Creative Intelligence” joined Tammy Mastroberte, founder of Elevated Existence Magazine for the “Living an Elevated Existence Mind, Body & Soul Summit Season 2,” to share how we can overcome stress once and for all.

Neuroscience discovered genetics and past traumas wire our brain for stress reactions, but we can rewire those faulty circuits through a specific shift in mindset, which can switch our brain’s “auto-pilot” from knee-jerk stress reactions to one that defaults to higher brain networks, calm and peace, Goewey explained. Making this shift is simpler than we would imagine and change happens quickly, within four to eight weeks. Once the shift is made we can unleash the brain’s capacity to generate creative insight, foster greater self-esteem, and improve our relationships.

“If you add up all the stress related disease in America you have the No. 1 cause of death,” he explained. “It knocks out cognitive functions, we get aggressive with other people, it’s rough on relationships.”

The greater the stress, the more we bicker with our partners, and it can even effect the way we look, with chronically stressed people appearing older than they actually are, he shared. Stress also affects our IQ making it difficult for us to function at full capacity. “If we’re chronically stressed, it means the stress response system is on full time,” he explained. We secrete stress hormones when this happens, and our emotional “set point” is to be anxious, angry or depressed. “When we’re having a stress reaction basically the primitive brain is in charge,” he said.

But how do we stop stressing? High stress work environments aren’t going away, and the usual stress-reducing programs just aren’t working—our collective stress levels are going up, not down. To make things more difficult, a full 50 percent of our experience of stress is determined by genetics, which plays a big role in wiring us for stress responses. However, the good news is that 40 percent is determined by our attitude or mindset (with the other 10 percent being circumstances). This 40 percent becomes the key to reducing our stress, said Goewey.

It’s all about neuroplasticity. If we can reprogram the way we react to stress, we can begin to take control of our lives. “It takes practice,” he said. “The practice that it takes to built that mindset, to change your brain and change your life in all those positive ways, is a simple practice –it just needs to be practiced.” Anyone can do it because age doesn’t matter when it comes to the ability to retrain our brain. “A change in experience literally changes your brain…and to change our experience you have to change your attitude,” he noted. This can all be done in four to eight weeks, and Goewey shared the four steps to do it — all of which are outlined in his book, “The End of Stress.”

4 Steps to End Stress
1. The first step is awareness. “We create all kinds of stressful events purely in our heads,” he noted. Acknowledge the thought is within you, and not reality. This will help us become aware of the thought patterns that lead to stress. “You want to step into your day in a very conscious way, and be grateful. Gratitude sets of a flurry of positive emotions.” One tool he shares is to take five minutes in the morning to get quiet and be grateful, and set the intention to have a great day no matter what happens.

2. The second step after awareness is making a conscious choice not to activate the stress response. It starts with not believing our stressful thoughts. Ask ourselves, “what does my experience become when I don’t believe that thought?” This will interrupt the stress response and allow us to make a different choice.

5. The third step is about expanding our brain power. As we begin to move out of stress and make the conscious choice for peace, more brain power becomes available, and opens the door to creativity, primarily a function of the right brain. Part of expanding beyond stress includes taking breaks from work throughout the day, walking in nature and taking vacations every year. Goewey recommends taking a 15 to 20 minute break mid-morning and mid-afternoon each day to recharge the brain and keep creativity flowing.

4. The last step is to form a personalized practice that sustains the gains that you make and builds on those gains. Here we can pick and choose the tools that work for us to maintain a stress-free lifestyle.

The Clear Button Tool
As a practice to bust stress in 90 seconds, Goewey shared one of the tools he teaches called The Clear Button Tool. When we become aware of a stressful thought or are in a stressful situation, we start by holding out our left hand. With our right hand, press the center of our left palm, or what he calls “The Clear Button.”  Press down and count to three, and then for each count think of a different color. For example, on the first count, inhale and count one, and then on the exhale, think of the color red. Take a second breath, and count 2, and on the exhale think blue. On the third, think green. This is how you “reset” your brain. It’s a form of distraction, and allows you to see the calm or peaceful path through the stress. It stops the stress reaction in its tracks. He also said this can be repeated two or three times, if necessary.

It doesn’t mean we will never experience stress again, but rather that by learning a practice we can shift our thought patterns away from fear and stress, and into a more dynamically peaceful attitude. Our brain will have a new “autopilot” setting that gives us choice, freedom and a better life.

“A lot of people think letting go of fear and stress is hard, but living with the fear and stress is much harder,” Goewey said. “You make the decision to end stress right here right now in the present moment, or you don’t.”

Tammy Mastroberte: Uncovering & Understanding Signs & Synchronicities

by Jennifer McCartney

How would your life change if you knew everything in it – the positive and the seemingly negative – was happening for your ultimate good? The truth is there are no accidents or coincidences in life. There are only circumstances and events we have not yet discovered the meaning for, and by learning to uncover and understand the signs and synchronicities sent to us from the universe (and our loved ones in spirit), we can reinforce our faith, live with joy, and experience life as a series of miracles, rather than random chaos that causes suffering.

Founder of Elevated Existence and editorial director of the award-winning Elevated Existence Magazine, Tammy Mastroberte taught a bonus class as part of the “Living an Elevated Existence Mind, Body & Soul Summit Season 2,” where she shared a number of her tips to uncover and understand the signs and synchronicity in our lives, including:

  • Common ways signs & synchronicity show up in your life
  • Tips to increase your awareness of these in your life
  • Common ways our loved ones communicate from “the other side”
  • How to uncover synchronicity in your past to help with your future

To begin, Mastroberte explained the universe works by sending us clues or hints in our daily lives. These little clues let us know we’re on the right track or they guide us back to the right path, but we must be open and aware in order to recognize them. Whenever we find ourselves saying things, such as “What a coincidence?” “That was perfect timing” “How strange or weird that this happened,” or “How lucky I was,” it is “usually not luck, but something greater than you, working for you,” she assured listeners.

She began the class with the four beliefs that set the foundation for what she teaches:

1. There are no accidents and no coincidences. “From the guy who cut you off in traffic last week to the horrible relationship that just ended, and even the timing of that ending,” she said, are all part of the plan God, Source or the Universe has for us. “Everything that happens in your life has meaning, even if you have not found it yet.”

2. We don’t die. Only our human body dies. The soul and the spirit truly lives on. Our loved ones that have passed are still with us. “If we are still here in this physical world, its because our job and our lessons are not done yet,” she said.

3. Whether you call it universe, god, or spirit—it always has your back. No matter how far you stray from your path, no matter how many wrong turns, the universe will continue to reroute you to the best path, she said. And how do we get rerouted? Through signs and synchronicities.

4. We are never alone. “We have help available to us in the form of the universe, angels, guides, or those that have crossed over,” Mastroberte shared, explaining she envisions these helpful energies as a boardroom of people, waiting to be called on to brainstorm and help with anything we need.

So what is synchronicity? How do we learn to recognize it? Synchronicity as an experience of two or more events as meaningfully related, Mastroberte said. The events don’t have to be simultaneous—they can be years apart. Sometimes the pattern is only clear in retrospect as you trace events from the past.

She shared an example of deciding to incorporate green juice into our lives. Maybe, we’ve read about it and know the benefits, but have not committed to it yet. Then, we are in the bookstore browsing shelves and happen to find a book about green juice we decide to buy. Later that day, our friend calls and tells us about this great green juice she just tried. Later that week, we are flipping the channels and find a documentary about a man who changed his life through juicing. These things are not coincidence—they are an example of synchronicity, and the universe giving us a nudge towards the right path.

“There really is this force that’s guiding the circumstances of our lives,” Mastroberte said.

In order to fully understand how synchronicity is operating in our daily lives, she shared an exercise called, “Follow the Footsteps” to mine our past for examples and instances of synchronicity that has already taken place. “The universe knows where you’re going, what you need to accomplish your goal, and who can help you, and the best way to uncover and understand this is mining the past for where it has already happened,” she explained.

We can start by picking a major life event—it could be the date we got married, the day we met our significant other, or the day we started college or a new job. We can begin to trace the connections by asking the following questions: How did I end up here? How did this event happen? Why did this event happen? What led me here? Who led me here? What happened next? By picking an event and tracing it back, you can see how the seemingly small and unconnected events in our life brought us to where we are now.

“You will start to see everything is connected,” she said, explaining once we can see the synchronicity operating in our lives, we begin to uncover proof that the universe does indeed have our back, that everything has a purpose and a meaning, and this helps us have more faith in our present and future, no matter what the circumstances may be at the moment. “We can be happy and we can be joyful, if we allow it,” she said.

Becoming Aware of Signs
Signs are also important to watch for in our daily lives. Unlike synchronicity, a sign is a single event that lets us know we are on the right path, or steers us in the direction we need to take, where synchronicity is two or more events. We can receive signs form our angels, guides and the universe or sprit, as well as signs as communication for a loved one who has passed on. Our loved ones want us to know they are O.K., and are still around us and aware of what is going on in our lives. They also want to help and guide us when they can, and will use signs in this way as well.

Signs from loved ones can show up in a number of ways, including a song on the radio, a particular flower with a special meaning to you, a light flickering in your home, a feather in your path, and even a literal sign you pass on by on the highway on your way to work—anything can be a sign meant just for us, she explained.

“If that sign means something to you and that loved one, they will use it,” Mastroberte said. “They will often use things familiar to you.” Our loved ones will do whatever it takes to get the sign across, she assured us.

We can also get signs from our angels, guides and the universe directing us where to go next, or reassuring us on our path. These happen every day, but many of us either don’t recognize them, or don’t believe them as a sign.

“If you’re getting a sign, and you think it’s a sign, accept it,” said Mastroberte. “It’s not a coincidence.”

She also offered a number of tips to increase our receptivity to the signs and synchronicities around us. One of the top tips is to mediate. The goal is to increase our awareness overall and slow down the mind in order to do this. She also recommended keeping a journal.

“From the present moment forward you can start jotting down things in your phone or a journal that you can refer back to,” she says. Once these events are recorded you can flip back through your entries to make the connections, and reinforce your belief in them. This will help to recognize more in the future, and even make connections from what you have written down.

Once we become more open to receiving and recognizing signs from the universe, and we realize how guided we are in all that we do, we can begin to understand that what looks like chaos now will eventually turn into meaning, and that no matter what happens in life, we will be O.K.

“The more that you become aware of [signs and synchronicities] in your own life the more that you will get,” she shared.

Help Save Elephants Kickstarter Campaign: Do Elephants Go to Heaven?

In the last three years, 100,000 African elephants have been killed for their ivory tusks. That’s 1 every 15 minutes. If killing continues at this rate conservationists estimate that elephants could be extinct in the wild by 2025.

Animal Communicator, Danielle MacKinnon, is joining with Academy Award winning filmmaker, Louise Hogarth, to create a documentary telling the stories of the elephants living in the wild and orphaned elephants now being cared for in sanctuaries. The film will show the point of view from the elephants through animal communication, and will also follow the tragic journey of Zimbabwe’s kidnapped baby elephants, destined for zoos in China and UAE, and 70 years of misery in captivity.

The filmmaker set up a Kickstarter campaign, which is already more than halfway toward its goal of $50,000, to complete the film. For more information, see the below video of Danielle MacKinnon communicating with the elephants, and visit the Kickstarter page for more videos, details and a list of gifts in return for donations.
