How to Ignite the Flow of Abundance

Have you been struggling to create abundance in your life? Do you make just enough money to get by, wishing you could have extra to save or live more comfortably?

Author of the book “Train Your Brain: How to Build a Million Dollar Business in Record Time,” Dana Wilde (www.danawilde.com) recently held a webinar on the topic of abundance, sharing her best tips and tricks to train the brain and allow abundance to flow into our lives.

Many of us are stuck in what Wilde calls “The Cycle of Perpetual Sameness,” where the beliefs stored in our unconscious mind are keeping us from achieving our goals, including abundance. The brain’s reticular activating system continually looks for situations in the world around us to match our beliefs, and if our belief is “money is evil” or “I never have enough money” that is exactly what we will see, she shared.

“If I have the belief ‘I am shy in crowds,’ and then I walk into a crowded room, the outside world will match the inside world, and I will get sweaty palms, feel my heartbeat increase, start to sweat, and then I’ll leave,” she shared. “Then the negative self-talk starts in the conscious mind, which creates emotion and reinforces the negative beliefs.”

Most people only see incremental changes in their lives because they are stuck on the cycle of perpetual sameness – whatever they are thinking and talking about matches up in the outside world. In order to make a change, we need to start thinking and talking differently, Wilde explained.

“We must start thinking and talking different about money and abundance. Once we do this, we start reprogramming the unconscious mind, which the reticular activating system responds to, and then the outside world picture will change,” she said, listing the following steps necessary to make changes:

1.  Become Aware — What are you thinking about and talking about with regards to money?

2.  Deciding to Change — Notice the feelings you are having and make a decision that you want to make a change.

3.  Instilling New Programming — Intentionally think different thoughts and have different conversations

4.  Feeling the Positive Emotion — Notice shifts you have emotionally when starting to think about money differently.

“When you start to make these shifts in your mind around how you feel about money, and you start to change the scripts you have been saying about money, it feels like you turn on a faucet, and it can really feel like magic because the reticular activating system is now noticing different opportunities that were not on your radar prior to the mindshift,” she shared.

Understanding Abundance
During the webinar, Wilde highlighted some common, false beliefs many of us have, whether its from our parents, our culture or society, which are blocking us from abundance. These include:

Work hard and you will make money.
Get an education and you will make money.
You have to do illegal or immoral things to make money.
You can’t be spiritual and make money.
We are poor, but we are happy.
Money is limited.
I don’t care about money.
It’s selfish to want a lot of money.
If I get rich people will want a lot of things from me.
If I get rich, I’ll forget where I came from.

“Remember, money comes to you based on how you think and how you feel about it, and it starts with awareness,” Wilde said. “Start paying attention to how you are feeling and thinking about money, and sometimes it’s easier to pay attention to feelings rather than thoughts.”

This is a necessary step to take ourselves off automatic pilot when it comes to how we think and feel about money. An example would be watching to the television and hearing an ad say “Do you have credit card debt?” and getting a negative sense of dream or doom, or a pit in your stomach. That negative feeling is a sign. Why would we feel that way? What could we say to ourselves to soothe this feeling?

Wilde recommends uncovering the belief or thought causing the negative emotion and turning it around. For example, instead of “I feel I’ll never get out of debt,” one could say “I’m not happy with where I’m at now, but I have faith that I it will get better. I’m glad I’m aware of it now, and I want to let go of this negative feeling,” or “I like that change is coming to me now. I might now be right were I want to be this second but I’m on the move. I’m headed in the right direction.”

Another example she shared is sitting with friends who begin badmouthing a person who is considered rich. Maybe we become aware that we want to join in, and have a feeling of righteousness that poor people are good and rich people are bad. Once we are aware of this, we can ask ourselves, “Why am I feeling this way? Do I really believe this? Is this the message I want to match.”

“If you did nothing else — just this — you would see a drastic change in your abundance and money,” said Wilde. “To feel the hopefulness, goodness and faith, and feeling yourself open to money instead of blocking it off will produce drastic and dramatic shifts in your financial abundance.”

Exercises in Abundance
As part of the webinar, Wilde shared a number of simple exercises we can start practicing to start changing our thoughts and feelings around abundance in order to allow it to flow.

1. See the Abundance — Part of the reason people shut themselves off  to abundance is a scarcity mentality, which is often seen in our culture. It’s the idea that there is not enough to go around, or we have to fight for the crumbs that are out there. This is an easy exercise to do while washing the dishes, making the bed, or any other time, she said.

“Start to think about the stuff in your house right now,  and see the abundance that is already all around you,” she explained. “Most of us are overflowing with abundance. I know myself, I am shocked by the amount of stuff I have in the house. In our kitchen, we have so many drinking glasses and bowls, and we are two people here. Start to think about the amount of food we have in the house. We don’t even generally bake or eat sweets in our house, but just the variety of sugars, honey, agave, molasses, powdered sugar, white sugar, brown sugar, stevia, brown sugar syrup, or the shoes we have, or the items for cleaning the house. When I think about the books I have in my house, I have enough that I could read a book every day for 10 years.”

2. I CAN Afford That — Often we have a knee-jerk reaction when wanting to buy something. We begin to make all the excuses about our ability to afford it, such as “I can’t afford it,” or “I wish I could afford it.” Start to become aware of the dialogue when making a decision not to buy something and start changing it around.

For example, “I really like that thing, and I’m going to get that someday, but now the timing is not right,” or that is really neat, and I like it, but I think they will probably put that on sale, so I would rather wait and take a look at it down the road,” or “I really like that book, and I think its good, but I’ll pick it up at a different time because I have so many books to read right now.”

It’s about giving ourselves different reasons for not buying something, and making ourselves feel better about it. When we catch ourselves saying or thinking “I can’t afford this,” turn it around to, “The truth is I can afford this. If I really wanted it, I could make it happen. I do want this, and it is going to come into my world, just not today, but I look forward to this coming in.”

3. Let it Flow — Similar to the concept of tithing, which is giving a percentage of what comes into our lives to support a church or organization, we can do this in small ways that can give us the feeling of power and abundance. For example, in a restaurant leaving an extra $5 tip.

“When you do this, you are letting it flow, and you start to get the feeling, ‘I’m rich, and I can afford to give more,’” Wilde noted.

4. Money as Appreciation — Begin to give money a different definition and start to think of it as a symbol of appreciation. We can give an extra tip to a waitress because we appreciate her, and we pay our electric bill because we appreciate having electricity.

“Money is a form of appreciation, and I am appreciating where my money is going, and I’m appreciating that I’m able to give it,” said Wilde. “Whenever I give a tip or pay for something I say, ‘I love being rich. I love that I’m able to give money this way.’”

6. Have it NOW — When we make a purchase, what are we really buying? Why do we buy things or want to buy things? We are really buying the image of who we want to be, or the lifestyle we want, said Wilde. So why not have that feeling now?

“Rather than longing for and thinking about your life in the future, how can you have the feeling of that now. Let’s say you want to live around trees and nature but you are in the city. What can you do to have those feelings now? Can you put plants on your porch, or plants in a room and sit there for a few minutes a day? Or find a park or be out in nature a couple times a day? How can you have it now?”

If someone wants to go to Paris, he or she can get a poster of Paris and put it on the wall to study the streets and avenues, or buy a book on how to speak French. If someone wants a bigger house, they can redo sections to make them seem bigger, or find pictures for the wall to make it seem like they are already there.

“Your brain stores beliefs about money, and your reticular activating system spends all day, every day, matching up those beliefs,” Wilde said. “You change it by starting to become aware of the thoughts and feelings you have around money and abundance, and start talking and thinking differently. Implement these exercises and you will start to feel abundance coming into your life, and the reticular activating system will start matching it up.”

Law of Attraction: The Difference Between Waiting and Expecting

By Sherry Winn

Two weeks ago a client asked me the difference between waiting and expecting. The disparity is the gap between fear and faith. Waiting represents wishing and indicates you don’t believe your request is going to happen. Expecting is acting as if you are receiving what you desire.

When you wait you are removed from action. When you expect you take action.

Imagine for a moment you want a particular job, but you don’t believe you can have it. You wait for the job to manifest but fail to take action toward getting the job. Why don’t you take the necessary actions? What belief holds you to waiting rather than acting?

A friend of mine, Maggie, decided she wanted to own her own salsa company. She knew from her experience of winning a salsa-cooking contest that her salsa was amazing. Maggie also knew if she could get her salsa in front of people they would buy it. The challenge was getting her salsa in grocery stores. Through persistence Maggie eventually convinced some of the local grocery store managers to purchase small amounts of her salsa for their stores.

This was not enough for Maggie. She wanted to sell her salsa in larger quantities. Maggie asked other food company owners how they got their product into the chain stores, and they told her it was next to impossible, and it took years of hard work.

Maggie didn’t accept their answers. She expected her dream to come true. She wrote down a list of 90 potential grocery stores and called all of them. At the end of every call, Maggie received the same answer: “No.” She looked at the list, thought about it, and started calling every store manager again. One manager asked if she could meet the next day at 8:00 a.m. Without hesitation, Maggie said she would be there. She jumped in her car and drove all night to make it to the meeting the next morning where she promptly convinced the store manager to purchase her salsa.

Maggie expected her dream to come true. She persisted with actions until her dream become a reality. The key is she did the hard work before she started making salsa. What was the hard work? Maggie worked on her faith.

So many people believe the work is done when they ask. This is the preliminary work. It is the beginning of the race. When you ask, you are at the starting line. If you remain at the starting line, you are waiting for something amazing to happen to you. What happens is you never get to the finish line, because you never ran the race.

How do you discover the faith Maggie possessed?

1.  Take responsibility for what you see in life. Interpret life as a positive experience.

2.  Choose the feelings you want to experience. Choose to feel good even when the events happening around you don’t seem to line up with what you desire.

3.  Align yourself with positive people who inspire and believe in you.

4.  Understand what you think becomes what you perceive and what you perceive is what you live.

5.  Seek books that teach abundance and worthiness.

6.  Practice the art of forgiveness. Your power is in letting go of the past and living in the present.

7.  Release self-judgment. Judgment prevents you from the vision of achievement.

8.  Tell yourself every day you are a creator and you choose to create abundance.

9.  Look for “facts,” which verify you are moving toward your desires.

10.  Affirm you were born as worthy. How could you not be worthy when you came from Source Energy who only knows worthiness?

People who wait, see signs they can’t get what they want and stop trying. People who expect their dreams to manifest move forward toward their goals. Are you going to stop at the starting line or do you have the Maggie mentality to ask and then receive by taking the necessary steps toward the finish line?

Morgana Rae: 6 Steps to Irresistible Money Magnetism

by Jennifer McCartney

Does money love you? Or is your relationship with money a mess? Morgana Rae is an internationally bestselling author of “Financial Alchemy: Twelve Months of Magic and Manifestation” and money guru who will walk you through 6 time-tested steps to turn your personal Money Monster of scarcity into a Money Honey of abundance. She spoke with Tammy Mastroberte, founder of Elevated Existence Magazine during the “Living an Elevated Existence Mind, Body & Soul Summit Season 2” to explain how to let go of financial anxiety and take a step towards wealth.

Morgana explained that money is actually a “made up” concept we all agree upon to make the world go round, and is also one of the most challenging things we face as adults—how to get it, manage it, attract it, respect it and be at peace with it. She discounted the myth that just by working hard we’ll automatically be financially successful—it’s much more complicated than that, she noted.

“Even if you work really hard, have a great diploma, a great website…that doesn’t guarantee you financial success,” she said. “Sometimes, it can feel like we have super human powers to repel money.”

The first step to bringing in abundance is “to get rid of the stuff that’s preventing you from being a money magnet.” All of this creates what Morgana calls our money monster—someone we all must meet so we can do away with them for good. She asks clients to actually make money a person, and explained the first time she did this she saw a scary biker and realized that is why she was struggling to let money into her life for so long. Who would want a scary biker to come into their lives?

Morgana laid out her six-step plan for helping those on their own journey to financial freedom.

1. Uncover the root cause of your money issues. It usually involves something relating to our feelings of worth, love and security. Maybe a relative stole from you when you were younger. Maybe you were teased as a child and have grown up to feel unworthy of receiving money. Maybe you have money, but are fearful of losing it—crippling your ability to live life free of money worries. “The more money you have, the higher the stakes,” she said. “To find the real root cause you’ll dig deep to find whatever life event has the most pain around it.”

2. Personify your money monster. Who is it? How do they act? Why are we fearful of them? Once you see the creepy person she or he is, then your situation makes more sense. The number one excuse Morgana sees in her work for what somebody can’t have, do or be, is that they don’t have enough money—a sentiment that compounds our problems. “Every time you say “I can’t afford it,” it’s like we’re feeding the money monster.”

3. Get rid of your money monster. Kill it by any means necessary—if you aren’t sure if it’s gone, there’s probably still something there. Keep trying.

4. Meet your money honey. This is your positive money relationship. It’s a partner that loves you and accepts you. “Of course it’s really you…we only know the world through our own experience,” Morgana said.

5. Have a conversation with your money honey. Learn to love and respect it. You have the power in the relationship. Ask it, “What do you need from me?”

6. Take action. “If you want physical results, you need to take physical action.”

She assures people who are in debt, afraid of money, and feel hopeless, that’s she’s been there-and these steps can work for them, too. “For those of you that are in the panic, with the dark night of the soul with your finances and your circumstances, first—congratulations. The money monster is so up close for you that this process can be easier faster, and the most dramatic for you….you actually have an advantage.”

Whether you’re a single mother with a mountain of debt or are someone that cringes at the idea of charging for your services, even when those services are your livelihood, Morgana assures us that no matter what our money issue, it’s a cycle anyone can break out of once we’ve met our money monster and embraced our money honey. And once we’re on our path to financial freedom, we’re better able to serve ourselves—and others. “Your prosperity serves the world,” she reminded us. “I want you to have financial freedom so you can focus on love, lifestyle, and legacy.”

Rikka Zimmerman: Activate Your Dream Life

by Jennifer McCartney

Learning to activate our higher mind can give us access to a whole new set of vibrations and energies, allowiing our lives to flow with ease, joy, and love like never before.

Rikka Zimmerman, creator of Adventure In Oneness, acclaimed international speaker, successful author and singer/songwriter, spoke with Tammy Mastroberte, founder of Elevated Existence Magazine during the “Living an Elevated Existence Mind, Body & Soul Summit Season 2” to share how we can reach a higher level of vibration in order to create great relationships and financial abundance, and achieve a happier state of being.

And it all starts with love. However, activating and receiving love isn’t a case of looking outside ourselves, Zimmerman told listeners.

“This universe responds to love,” she said. “Activation is really activating who you already are — it’s not something that you’re not or something you’re missing or something that’s isn’t actually a part of you.” It’s through activation of our higher selves that we can awaken a part of ourselves that’s always been there. “Activating your dream life, the way I see it for each of you: your dream life is here. It isn’t a year away or five years away.”

So how can we find this love and energy within ourselves? It’s all about connection, explained Zimmerman, and opening ourselves up to experience that connection. “What we need to do is get you connected and allow yourself to experience that vibration so that you can live within the dream life you were meant to have. Maybe up to this moment you haven’t allowed yourself to experience that light,” she said, explaining some people may feel stuck or trapped in their current situation. “Part of it is about opening up and allowing ourselves to live a whole different universe of love.”

Opening oneself can be scary, but nothing bad is going to happen to us, said Zimmerman. Any pain we feel when we open our hearts is simply old pain that’s been trapped—and which we have the opportunity to accept and turn into love. “The fear and the hurt come from our past, and opening up to it allows us to heal, and increases possibility,” she told listeners.

We also need to examine any negative patterns in our emotions. “Say you’re having a bad day…you’re mad at your boss…ask that actual pattern, ‘are you actually from now, or are you from a past time?’” Often, these negative emotions we experience are actually old patterns that come back to us, to be with us in new ways. Recognizing this allows us the opportunity to release and let go of these patterns.

“As these experiences come up in your life that you used to have resistance to, as you begin to experience them and let them go,” you will inhabit a whole different universe, Zimmerman explained—one without resistance and without separation. “Every meal, every dive in the ocean, every waking dream, [will begin to feel] wildly magical,” she promised listeners. “You have command over this entire universe, you always have…if you embody the vibration of fear or separations, there’s brakes on your system.”

As a practice for how to take command of our universe and release the “brakes” we’ve placed on ourselves—she walked listeners through a process to open themselves to their highest energy vibration—to breathe in, to open up to the God that we are already.

“Fully awaken and fully open, knowing that all there is, is love,” she said. “Releasing the concept of fear, because fear is actually a concept, it’s not a truth” and “allowing yourself to be loved by that love, feeling that support.”

Experiencing Activation
She invited listeners to imagine their body as pipes filled with space—room for vibrations to flow through them. “Then bring your awareness up—bringing your mind and heart up to the lightest and most spacious vibration you can find. Allow yourself to feel the vibrations coming down from heaven, and bring the vibration into your body with a deep breath. Allow the beautiful vibration to move through your system, opening yourself to the flow of that river of love and life.” Finally, she issued a command: “I command that every cell in my body absorb all of the light of God and love of God on my next in breath.” She then played a series of tones to help listeners achieve that higher state.

Our molecules hold two possibilities, “one of the old paradigm and one of the new,” Zimmerman said. “All of the molecules are waiting for that activation of love…as soon as that happens that amazing awesome future begins to happen.”

Benefits of receiving love and the activation of that love will manifest itself in every facet of our lives. “Sales will goes up like crazy, clients will show up,” she noted. “Everything is attracted to you,” including both money and love. She called this “receiving into existence” rather than “projecting it into that distance.” As we receive it we will find it anchors us more into the physical structure of this world.

Jeffrey Gignac: Happier & Smarter In 7 Minutes

by Jennifer McCartney

Did you know the secret to happiness, wealth and success might be between your ears? Clinical hypnotherapist and licensed Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Jeffrey Gignac, joined Tammy Mastroberte, founder of Elevated Existence during the “Living an Elevated Existence Mind, Body & Soul Summit Season 2,” to explain how the new science of happiness and productivity starts with the brain.

Gignac, a world-renowned expert in brainwave entrainment and brainwave stimulation, and the creator of nearly 100 meditation and brainwave programs told listeners how they can become happier and smarter in just seven minutes using proven techniques that increase the blood flow to their brain, and can actually re-wire it. He also shared how its possible to double, even triple, a person’s weekly productivity with just a few easy steps.

His work and the programs he creates are all about brain fitness—rewiring the brain to create new pathways resulting in new thoughts, behaviors and actions. He pointed to research showing that brainwave activity is remarkably consistent from one person to the next when they are under any type of stress.

“When we’re all stressed and frustrated” our brain activity takes on a particular pattern,” he shared, explaining on a scan we could actually see blood stuck in one area rather than flowing through to others. To do the “internal math” required of us daily, (processing language, etc.) we need blood flow to the brain and Gignac has studied and teaches techniques, including brainwave stimulation, using video and audio that encourage this blood flow and create the results people are looking for—whether it’s happiness, relaxation, a good night’s sleep or more productivity. Additionally, “things like nervousness and stress restrict blood flow in the brain….so using brainwave stimulation, we can push this blood flow back into the brain.” Once the blood is flowing, we’ll immediately notice the results.

So, it’s one thing to know when we’re stressed or nervous our brain isn’t getting the proper blood flow it needs. But what to do about it? “The biggest challenge in our lives isn’t making ourselves smarter but just using what we have,” he told listeners. “The benefits [of brainwave stimulation] are very similar to that what happens when you exercise a muscle. You get increased blood flow, increased activity…it improves the neuro-connectivity between various regions to the brain, closing communication gaps.”

Long term, the benefits of brainwave stimulation, or brain exercise, are numerous, he said. In addition to stress relief, there’s also “the ability to simply process the world differently on a differently level faster and better over time…[and] the ability to side step negativity over time.” Instead of getting stuck in traditional thinking patterns, where our blood flow is stagnant, we can sidestep those patterns. It also helps with our concentration, making us less susceptible to distraction, he said.

“This is not about increasing your physical intelligence,” he said. However, one of the long terms benefits is the increase of neural pathways, so over time, “it makes it more likely for you to think with greater clarity.”

To begin to identify our own brain patterns, Gignac advised us to take an emotional inventory—figure out our weak spots, strong spots, when we’re happy, etc. The idea is to “change the way the electricity and blood flow moves in your brain so that you break these patterns. It’s one of the simplest and easy ways to improve you happiness and productivity in your life,” he shared.

And it’s more than just reducing stress or increasing productivity. Increased blood flow to the brain can help strengthen different muscle groups, which can affect nearly every aspect of our daily lives—from happiness levels to libido, and encouraging better sleep to increasing the amount of energy we feel during the day.

Using brainwave stimulation, and neuro linguistic programming, Gignac says its about incremental steps toward change. “If we try to do these really, really big chunks it can actually demotivate us,” he said. “We’re not telling people, ‘you will change now’…It’s more guidance, not a pushy type of guidance.”

Panache Desai: Discovering Your Soul Signature – Finding Your Purpose, Passion and Joy

by Jennifer McCartney

Do you feel exhausted and weighed down by the circumstances of your life? Do you subject yourself to an endless stream of self-judgment and criticism? Do you feel the energy of fear tightening its grip on you more each day?

Each time life throws emotional obstacles in your way, your soul signature – your spiritual DNA – becomes blocked. Anger, shame, fear, guilt, sadness, or despair overtakes you, creating a heaviness that doesn’t permit your energy to flow freely.

But all is not lost. For listeners at the “Living an Elevated Existence Mind, Body & Soul Summit Season 2,” Panache Desai—spiritual teacher and author of Discovering Your Soul Signature: A 33-Day Path to Purpose, Passion and Joy—explained how discovering your unique soul signature can reignite a life of authenticity, rediscover your passion, and tap into the limitless possibility of all things.

“The function of spiritual practice in its most basic level is for an individual to help them come into the experience of themselves as more than just a body and a mind,” said Desai. Once practitioners are aware of themselves as a soul—once they’ve uncovered their soul signature or the unique expression of who they are at their core—they’re able to live their fullest life and embrace their true humanity, leading to greater health and happiness.

“What we’re doing is offering people access, authentically, to who they are at their core,” Desai explained on the call. “Sometimes people have some grandiose notion of their life’s purpose. You’re purpose is to be yourself…the more you can lovingly accept yourself, and engage the part of you that’s divine, you don’t have any mundane moments…You’re doing everything from a place of connection, from a place of awareness, and you truly become alive.”

Desai addressed many listeners who feel they are “stuck” and can’t move forward in certain areas of their life. We learn to get “stuck” very early in life, he said. “The way we learn to get stuck is through our conditioning—we learn from our family. Then at school. And society.” But we don’t become “unstuck” by seeking superficial solutions. It starts with acceptance of where we are and what we feel at the moment. Rather than running away from or suppressing our emotions, we must feel them and release them.

Desai told listeners that uncovering our soul signature requires three steps:

  • The first is a willingness to look
  • The second is a willingness to feel and experience
  • The third is to allow the feeling to be there (not fighting the feeling)

“Whether it’s depression, grief, fear, rage, or whatever, it’s about being available to the emotion, and accepting of it,” he said. “Dealing with the loss of physical attachment in grief, you can begin to access something deeper…because you’re not going to be in it all the time. There comes a point where the intensity of the emotion will begin to diminish.”

By feeling those emotions and letting them flow through us, we will be left with only love, which is the authentic self. “Befriend your humanity,” said Desai. “The part that everyone’s missing, is that the doorway to our divinity is through our humanity. We have to lovingly go through our humanity in order to access our divinity.”

When we discover this, we will realize we are more than just a body and a mind — we are a soul. “Our soul exists on a level of perfection,” he said. “And the more we can begin to embrace and accept the parts we believe aren’t perfect, the more we move into harmony with our innate potential, and the more we’re able to unleash it in the world.”

Putting it into Practice
Desai also led listeners through a practice of exploring their energy and uncovering their soul signatures.

“Think of the person in your life that you believe has hurt you the most,” he advised listeners. “Just breathe and relax your body. And begin to get present to what’s going on inside your body. Focus on how the body feels—whether it’s a tightness in the body—focus on it, and everything associated with that energy collapses. Everything that’s left in us we have to turn and feel.”

While he noted at times we won’t feel a shift right away, we should allow ourselves to be open to whatever it is we are feeling, and to not resist any pain, physical or otherwise. “When that density has been felt, the physical pain goes away,” he said. Desai’s program offered through the Living an Elevated Existence Summit is about consistency and commitment—for about half an hour morning and night, listeners hear a recording designed to address the density inside them and help access their soul signature.

“If you haven’t discovered your soul signature, you’re lost,” he said. However, by uncovering it, and accepting our true humanity, Desai said enlightenment is within reach.

“When you’re experiencing peace, you’re experiencing your enlightenment,” he said.
