Wild Carrot Herbals Natural Products

We recently discovered Wild Carrot Herbals, a small, family-owned and operated business in Oregon using all natural essential oils, botanicals, flower essences – basically ingredients you can recognize and pronounce – with nothing artificial, chemical or toxic. And not only are they natural and nutrient-rich, but the prices are affordable!

The company makes skincare products for the face and body, and even has a line of baby products. After trying several, which are packaged in recycled glass jars and wrapped to literally look like carrots – we fell in love with the brand!

Dr. Wayne Dyer Shares Insights from His New Book

On June 26, 2012, Dr. Wayne Dyer announced to his children that he was no longer going to write books. He said he was done with that part of his life, and was ready to move into a new phase. But on June 27, 2012, he woke up and started writing. And found he couldn’t stop even if he tried. The result is his newest book, “I Can See Clearly Now.”

“On the 27th of June, I woke up and I started writing, and I wrote for like five months in a row, every single day, morning, noon and night. I just couldn’t bring myself to stop writing,” he said on a media conference call in December 2013. “It gave this indication that there’s something bigger moving the checkers around in this checkerboard called life. That there’s something bigger than that, and I got into a zone.”

His newest book is an autobiography of sorts, where he reveals how while we are all making choices every day, there is also a force greater than us operating in our lives. He uses the turning points in his own life to illustrate this teaching.

“It seems to me, as I look back on my life, that thing that’s called eternal time, which is where everything is already handled at once, is operating at the same time as what’s called chromos time, or chronological time, or cause and effect time,” he explained on the call. “That my life, your life, everyone’s life, isn’t just a series of causes and effects that come out of the past. We’re also pulling things out of the future.”

One of the choices we can make is how we learn and grow, or come to a place of enlightenment. This can be done through suffering, through being in the moment, or through aligning with our intuition, said Dyer, explaining how there were many times in his life where he came to enlightenment through suffering.

Once example is spending 10 or 15 years of his life drinking beer every single day, not eating right and not feeling very good.

“I also got to a point where I realized this was just not something that was good. So that’s enlightenment through suffering, and this is true in so many of the things in our lives. All of our different relationships that worked and then didn’t work, all of our financial problems that we encountered, health problems, and so on, that you go through … and then all of a sudden you realize I’ve got to change the way I eat. I’ve got to change the way I exercise. I’ve got to do something about that,” he said.

The second way of enlightenment, or self-actualization, is enlightenment through being in the present moment, so when these things are happening to us — a breakup of a relationship, a fire that burned down our home, the death of someone close to us — we can make the choice not to suffer.

“Instead of saying, ‘Now I’m going to go through this long period of time in which I’m going to suffer, I’m going to be incapacitated as a result of this,’ you shift to being in the moment and saying, ‘What’s in it for me? What’s the lesson here right now? What can I get out of it?’” he noted.

There is also a third stage of enlightenment, where our intuition takes over, and we can see things coming our way before they arrive — where we are in a “collaboration with fate,” and realize, if we put our awareness on something, we can prevent it from happening in our life in an “incapacitating way.”

“You can make your choice on all of this,” said Dr. Dyer. “You can go through this lifetime of suffering, or you can get back to where you’re in a state of gratitude for everything that’s taking place in the moment, and deflect it away, or you can become anticipatory. And this is the exciting time. This is when miracles take place.”

I Can See Clearly NowA CLEAR VIEW
While we all have choices and free will in our lives, there is still a universal force working on our behalf to create opportunities and events we need in order to grow. Looking back on his life, Dyer can see the factors that took place in order to lead him where he is now. For example, living in an orphanage taught him to be self reliant, something he has dedicated his life to teaching others.

“I didn’t just choose to have the father that I have, and have him abandon our family and have him just walk out on us and make a choice to go into an orphanage, but there was something moving the pieces around that said, ‘If you are going to teach, you are going to sign up for a whole lifetime of self-reliance, and you better learn how to rely upon yourself as a young boy, and you better learn how to serve others,’” he explained.

Another example of a force behind his conscious choice was growing up with an alcoholic stepfather who watched Bishop Fulton Sheen on “Life isWorth Living,” rather than “The Milton Berle Show,” which was popular at that time. With only one television set in the house, this is what everyone watched.

“I still remember watching Bishop Fulton Sheen as a young boy and being engrossed in something called ‘Life is Worth Living,’ and I think, ‘Was I making that choice? How did that alcoholic man come into my life for those four or five years, and how did it turn me around?’” he said.

“Out of the 40 books that I have written, the subtitle of every one of them could be called ‘Life is Worth Living.’ It was a hugely impactful thing for me. I look back and I think, ‘Was I making choices?’ Yes, I was. I was making choices. I could have just gone off into my room or sulked or left or whatever, but I sat there and watched and took notes.”

His new book, “I Can See Clearly Now,” is about looking at the choices we make, as well as the factors taking place beyond our control, and realizing if we look at life happening now, we can begin noticing these things as they happen.

One of the most significant turning points in his life was when he visited his father’s grave in 1974 after being angry with him for many years. He sat at the grave, cursing at him for several hours, and then he said, “I forgive you. From this moment on, I send you love.” At that moment, something shifted inside of him.

“I don’t know what it was or how it happened to get there — all of the coincidences that coalesced in order for me to arrive at that place in Biloxi, Miss., on the 30th of August, 1974 — but all I know is that I just left this gravesite feeling completely different,” Dyer said. “I had just sent him love from that moment on and said, ‘Who am I to judge you? You did what you knew how to do given the conditions of your life and how can I ask you to be anything other than what you are?’ I just let go of it, and I went back and I wrote ‘Your Erroneous Tones’ in 14 days down in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.”

Thinking about his father and the impact he had on his life, he knows he will understand much more when he leaves his current body, but understands there was meaning behind it all.

“Perhaps he incarnated into this world in order for his younger son to figure out how to forgive so that he could impact millions of people. Who am I to question any of it? That is probably the most significant moment in my life and in that book as well,” Dyer explained.

Editor’s Advice: A Simple Tool to Calm Down

A few months ago, I saw bestselling author and integrative physician, Dr. Andrew Weil, speak about a breathing technique on the Dr. Oz Show. He called it “a natural tranquilizer for the nervous system,” and in today’s busy, stress-filled society, we could all use a natural tranquilizer once in a while!

It’s known as the 4-7-8 Relaxing Breath exercise, and the best part is it takes only a minute and a half each day to practice. While many people see immediate benefits, these increase over time.

I recently added this exercise to my daily routine, and I love it. So, of course, I have to share it with all my elevated friends because it’s so simple, doesn’t take much time, and offers so many benefits! (See video below for Dr. Weil demonstrating the technique.)

The exercise must be done twice per day, at four cycles each time. Dr. Weil uses it before his morning meditation and at night when he lays down to sleep, and that is how I began incorporating into my life. I actually find it improves my meditation session and relaxes me before I even begin my mantra. I also use it whenever I feel stressed, anxious or triggered by something, and it immediately sends me into a place of calm.

Dr. Weil said this breath is the “single best method” he has found for falling back to sleep if he wakes up in the middle of the night, and it is also a very powerful anti-anxiety tool – even helping those with panic disorders.

“You are putting a signal into your nervous system and the effects of this are cumulative,” he said. “I guarantee you, if you will stick with this you will be amazed at what you will see.”

All you need to do is place the tip of your tongue against the ridge of the tissue right behind your front teeth, inhale through your nose for a count of four, hold it for a count of seven, and then exhale through your mouth making a “whoosh” sound for a count of eight. Do this for four cycles.

After a month of practice, this can be done for up to eight cycles at a time, twice per day, and also as needed throughout the day. Not only do you get immediate relief, but you are retraining your body and nervous system to function differently.

Watch Dr. Weil explain the technique and demonstrate it in the below video, and I hope you like it as much as I do!

Sherry Gaba: Heal Past Trauma with the Somatic Recovery Technique

We have all been through trauma at some point in our lives – whether it’s divorce, a sudden death, health diagnosis, or even a car accident – and as a result, emotional and physical energy can get stuck in our body and mind.

Celebrity psychotherapist, life coach and author of The Law of Sobriety,” Sherry Gaba, explained how many of us don’t realize this stuck energy is blocking us and holding us back from living in joy, attracting the right relationship, healing our body, and so much more. She joined Tammy Mastroberte, founder of Elevated Existence and publisher & editorial director of Elevated Existence Magazine, on the Living an Elevated Existence Mind, Body & Soul Summit to explain the Somatic Recovery Technique, and how releasing trauma can open us up to a life filled with more joy, love and happiness.

“Trauma is something that causes you to go unconscious and you can no longer fight or flee the situation, so your body just froze,” Gaba explained on the call. “What it did is froze energy and locked it inside your body and your cells, and there is no movement.”

People often wonder why they haven’t found the relationship of their dreams, or why their health is not improving, and what is really going on is they are stuck from past trauma energy in the body they have not released, said Gaba.

“Even though I am a licensed psychotherapist, I don’t believe you can talk through old trauma. Trauma in the body must be released in a very systematic, thoughtful way,” she said.

There are ways we can identify trauma in our body, including an exercise Gaba shared on the call. Start by thinking about an upset, loss, divorce or even abuse from early childhood, and notice what it feels like in the body. Is there a sensation in the lower back or the neck? This often gives us a clue of where the trauma is being held in the body. The key is not to run from it, but to actually notice it and be mindful of the emotions and sensations in the body, and allow them to discharge.

“It’s about being in the discomfort of the feeling in your body, entering the present moment and releasing all the pent up energy that has been holding you back from being fully awake and conscious,” she said.

Gaba teaches the Somatic Recovery Technique, which is a 7-step program to release and heal from trauma, and is also a way to find our true purpose, she explained.

“What I find is, we release the stuck energy and then what? We want to find purpose and a passion in our lives to replace it. That is the final result of the program,” she said, explaining people finally feel free from this process. “Your body is finally free of all that negativity and toxicity and able to let go. There is no resistance anymore. You finally have surrendered completely.”

Getting Unstuck
Gaba developed the Somatic Recovery process because she needed to let go of past trauma in her own life, which began prematurely. She was born three months early and put in an incubator, where her mother was not allowed to touch her because years ago people believed the mother could pass germs onto the child.

“I didn’t meet my mother until I was two and a half months old, so I missed that initial bonding period,” she shared. “I had a lot of issues growing up and later in my life with relationships because I didn’t have those first few months experience of early bonding. I had a lot of issues with picking unavailable people because I was unavailable to me.”

She found it didn’t matter how much therapy she went for, she didn’t heal until she discovered a therapist that specialized in trauma, and helped her get back into her body. Before that she was literally walking around in a “disassociated state,” just trying to survive, but not awake to her own authentic self.

“We have a knowing inside of us that is really our soul and soul purpose,” she shared. “When you start releasing the energy that has been stuck for so long, your soul’s purpose comes alive. You finally go, ‘yes, that is it! That is what makes me feel joy. That is what I’m passionate about.’”

So many of us work in jobs we don’t like and are in relationships where we are faking it until we make it, and this is covering up layers of truth inside of us. It’s impossible to be healthy when living in this state, Gaba explained. Releasing the trauma lets the negativity and old energy out, allowing the truth of who we are to come forward.

“Trauma keeps energy surpressed in every organ of our body. That is why people have aches and pains, and emotional issues, and that is energy that has not been released. It’s stuck in the body and keeping them from living a joyous life. This stored energy becomes toxic – all the distorted lies people tell themselves, the belief systems that no longer hold true, the moods that keep them living in fear and anxiety … it’s causing negative habits, destructive behavior and keeping people immobilized.”

This also applies to the law of attraction, she explained. Trauma weighs down our vibration, making it very difficult to attract the high vibrational life we desire.

“If you want to attract, joy, the relationship, the job, you have to be in the felt sense of the thing you want. You want to feel it in your body at the frequency you desire, but if you are filled with all that stuck energy, how could you be at that felt sense?” she asked. “I don’t’ see how that is possible. That is why I don’t think the law of attraction alone works. You have to do this work first. You have to get rid of the old energy. Everything great happened for me when I started doing this work.”

Karen Abrams: Theta Healing and Relationships

Theta healing is a unique form of meditation where practitioners enter the “theta state” and are able to shift thoughts away from negative, limiting beliefs to more positive perspectives. It’s a process of healing that can free people from longstanding emotional burdens and even chronic or unhealthy physical conditions.

Karen Abrams, a master theta healer, certified instructor and relationship expert joined Elevated Existence Magazine founder, Tammy Mastroberte, to discuss theta healing and relationships as part of the Living an Elevated Existence Mind, Body & Soul Summit.

“Theta healing is a meditation that connects you to creator, God or source. When you connect with that Divine energy, your brain waves go into the theta state and that is what happens when we are falling asleep and just hitting that dream state,” Abrams explained on the live call. “When we go into the theta brainwave, we are able to access our subconscious mind, and that is really our store house for all of our experiences, beliefs and feelings.”

Our experiences, beliefs and feelings are stored in every cell of the body, and theta healing connects to Divine energy to help shift belief systems no longer working for a person, she noted. Beliefs such as, “I’m alone,” “No one will ever love me,” “No matter what I do it will never work out.” This energy also allows people to shift emotions and feelings.

“This is a huge, huge thing because when you can change a feeling you have had in your body for as long as you’ve known yourself, you can start bringing better things into your life,” Abrams explained.

People often change belief systems, heal trauma and resentments, forgive themselves and forgive others, and while sometimes the shifts are subtle, many receive immediate benefits as well.

“I always say with the subtle ones, it’s like pointing a cannon one degree west – you are going to hit a whole other town. So those subtle changes are going to bring big changes as time goes by, and the big changes will bring bigger changes,” Abrams explained. “Theta can do that for you.”

She became interested in theta healing when a friend of hers quickly began to experiences changes in her life for the better through theta, and Abrams signed up for a Basic Theta Healing class. After the three-day class, her life began to change as well.

“I had anxiety for six years where I was literally shaking every day,” she shared. “After a three-day course on Theta healing, for the first time in six years my body came out of fight or flight. I was in a depression when I started this work, and now my default is contentment. When something happens, I know I can always go back to contentment.”

Elements of a Healthy Relationship
During the live call, Abrams shared three important elements we need to bring into a relationship for it be healthy. They include worthiness, self-love and joy.

Worthiness – “If you don’t believe you deserve to be loved, then you won’t be, and that is what will show up because the person you attract will mostly likely feel the same way,” said Abrams. “Like attracts like, and in this work we talk about how you are really attracted to people who have the same negative belief systems you have because that reminds you of how you grew up.”

If our worthiness is not in a place where we feel we really deserve love, the person we attract is not going to feel that way about themselves either, and is not going to feel that way about us, she explained.

Self-love – “If you love yourself, you are most likely going to attract someone who is very similar to that, so it will be much easier to be able to communicate with them and move yourself forward in that relationship,” said Abrams. “If you don’t’ feel really great about yourself, you are not going to attract somebody who feels great about themselves.”

Joy – Joy is what makes everything better, said Abrams. We don’t need to be 100 percent joyful to have a healthy relationship, but we need to be able to receive joy and express it with a romantic partner and find it in the relationship.

“Sometimes people look for relationships or they run away from relationships because they are projecting their parents marriage onto it, so they stay away from relationships,” she noted. “But usually people who are afraid of relationships are afraid of bad relationships not good relationships, and that may be something they don’t realize.”

Relationships are Mirrors
Any time we are in a relationship – whether romantic or friendships – it is a reflection of how we feel about ourselves.

“You have to understand that if someone is mistreating you, there is probably somewhere in yourself that you are doing the same thing to yourself, and it’s important when those things happen to step back and say, ‘I can be angry with this person, and I should let this person know to make sure my boundaries are healthy.’ But the other side of it is to go back and say, ‘O.K., so where am I being neglectful with myself? Maybe I need to fix that.’ Then that behavior doesn’t tend to come out of the other person, and if it does, maybe you leave the relationship, or you draw lines because it’s just not acceptable anymore.”

Theta healing repairs our relationship to ourselves because we learn to forgive ourselves and gain God’s understanding of why we acted the way we did. It can heal traumas and resentment towards ourselves, as well as others in our life, and when this happens, the burdens we carry begin to get lighter.

“People burdened by the past or those with a very heavy childhood wear that on their back, and with theta you can lift it off and become lighter and more comfortable in your own skin,” said Abrams.

Arielle Ford: Secrets to Attract Your Soulmate

Have you ever wondered what it takes to find the love of your life? Is it your dream to find a life-partner who will love, cherish and adore you?

Arielle Ford, bestselling author of “The Soulmate Secret,” has been called, “The Cupid of Consciousness” and “The Fairy Godmother of Love,” and she joined Elevated Existence Magazine founder, Tammy Mastroberte, as part of the Living an Elevated Existence Mind, Body & Soul Summit to discuss how to attract a soulmate using the tools and techniques she herself applied to attract her husband, Brian, at age 44.

“For me, a soulmate is first and foremost somebody you can completely be yourself with, and somebody who you share unconditional love, and when you look into each other’s eyes, you feel like you are coming home . . . it can be a lover, parents, kids, business partners, co-workers, and even your cats and dogs fit into that,” Ford shared on the call.

But when it comes to romantic love, the fastest way to manifest it is to start being grateful for the soulmates we already have in life, such as family and friends, and to understand there is no such thing as only one soulmate.

“I don’t know who started the big fat lie that we only get one love in a lifetime. I know one woman who is married to her third soulmate because she outlived the first two,” Ford explained. She also pointed out there are 7.2 billion people alive on the plant and approximately half of them are single, so statistically we can’t not meet our soulmate!

Ford woke up one day at 43 years old and realized she forgot to get married, she explained. She had worked hard on her career and loved her life, but her bed was empty and she knew something was missing. Upon looking at her life and how well she had done in her career, she got the idea of using the same techniques – special prayers, rituals, intentions – to find love. Within six months she met her husband Brian during a business meeting, and three weeks later she was engaged.

“As soon as Brian and I got together, I suddenly became the poster child for women over 40 to fall in love,” she said, explaining she would share the soulmate secret process with people watch them having amazing success. Even her 80-year-old mother-in-law used it to find new love!

“I shared it with my mother-in-law and within three weeks she had a date, which led to her being with her next soulmate,” Ford said. “This has worked for men and women in over 40 countries around the world, and I get emails every single day from people about finding love. It works if you are wiling to put a little time into it.”

If we got fired from our job, we would know exactly what to do to get another one, said Ford. We would update our resume, go online to look for work, network with people and go on job interviews. We would take action, and we need to do the same with our love life.

“What happens, particularly with women, is if they have to find a job or a new car or a place to live, they go into action, but when it comes to their love life, they kind of lean back on the couch and say, ‘well, if it’s meant to be it will happen.’ You would never do that about a job,” Ford noted. “Not only are you looking for your soulmate, but your soulmate is also looking for you. But they can’t find you if your not leaving the house, or if your not online, or if your not in the game. It’s your job to put yourself in the game – that is the first thing that has to happen.”

Steps for Manifesting a Soulmate
Ford shared her key steps  to manifesting love – steps she followed herself and has taught to people all over the world.

Step 1: Forgiveness — The first step is all about forgiveness, especially forgiving ourselves for any judgments we placed on ourselves for not doing the right thing in past relationships. But we also need to forgive others we think have done us wrong. This step is about also clearing out the emotional blocks we carry from the past.

Step 2: Clarity – We need to uncover and get clear about the traits we want in our soulmate, and not jut the physical appearance, but the heart traits, said Ford.

“You want to be looking for things that are going to contribute to your long-term happiness,” she said. “Most people are clear about what they don’t want and not clear about what they do want, so they can start with the ‘don’t want’ list and then turn that into what they do want.”

We should start by looking at the last two or three relationships and list all the things we don’t want in a person, such as lying, cheating and smoking. Then write a list of things we do want, such as loyal, kind, generous, monogamous, and puts my needs first.

“Having this clarity is really critical, and in some ways the hardest because it requires the most time to really ponder and think about,” said Ford. “Then once you do that, you write out your soulmate wish list all in positive statements.”

This is also when we can add some physical qualities we would like our soulmate to have, such as gray hair – something Ford had on her list and actually found in her husband Brian.

“I also had on my list that English would be a first language because I had dated a lot of foreigners and even thought they spoke English it’s different from having it as a first language,” she said. “I also wanted somebody who could walk unassisted because I like to go for walks every single day, so it was a mix of heart traits and physical qualities.”

Know what your ‘must have’s are,’ she explained. We don’t always get everything we want, but be specific on the things most important to you. After you have the list, give it to a trusted friend to make sure you have not missed anything important.

“For example, I’m a big cat lover, and I always have been, but I once dated a guy who is allergic to cats and the first time he came to my condo he started coughing, sneezing and chocking. So a cat lover was on my list,” she shared.

Step 3: Release Ceremony – We need to release the list to the universe, and while we can keep a copy, we should not be obsessive about it or checking it every day, said Ford. For her release ceremony she looked on the calendar for the next new moon, and she wrote out her list on a beautiful piece of stationary, and took it to the cove near her home at noon. She read through the list, said a prayer of gratitude to thank the universe for sending her the perfect and right partner, and then burned the list and tossed it into the ocean. Then she took herself out to lunch, ordered a glass of champagne and toasted her soulmate.

“I said, ‘wherever you are right now, just know that the cosmic welcome mat has been put out for you, and I’m ready whenever you are,’” she explained.

Some of the things we can do with our list include:

— put it above or below an altar

— put in under our pillow or a mattress

–put it in our favorite spiritual book

–roll it up into a scroll, put it into a red or pink helium balloon and release it into the heavens

“The point is just to let it go,” she noted. “Of course, keep a copy. Three years after Brian and I were married, he came running down the stairs holding this beat up yellow legal pad, and he was saying, ‘I found your list, your soulmate wish list, and I’m everything but two.’”

Feathering the Nest
It’s important to get into the state of the mind where our soulmate is already with  us – even before he or she arrives, and Ford calls this “feathering the nest.” It starts with literally preparing our home energetically to receive our soulmate.

“If you were living with an ex, or they spent time there, even though they are not physically there anymore, they have left invisible energy that you need to clear out,” she explained.

There are several ways to do this. Here are a few of her suggestions:

— Hire a professional energy worker or feng shui expert

— Buy white sage and burn it over a bowl while walking around the house. Pay special attention to the window jams, door jams and inside the closets.

— Open all the windows and doors on a nice sunny day, and take a broom in your hand. Using your imagination, literally sweep the other person’s energy out of the doors and windows of your home.

Additionally, if there are photographs, souvenirs, or momentos of things that are from an ex, they should be removed from the home. Even if we are not conscious of them, they are having an unconscious effect tying us to the person and our past. We can get rid of it, or at least put it in the garage. If we don’t have a garage, give it to a friend to store for us.

“I was talking to a friend of mine who is a well known tapping expert,” said Ford. “He was recovering from a breakup and tapping about it, but he still was not meeting anyone. I had a conversation with him and he found photos of his ex in the home. He got rid of them and then two days later he met the women he is now married to. This stuff is really important to do, and it really works.”

It is also important to physically make room for our soulmate in our home. Even if we live in a very small apartment, it is showing a sign of faith to make room for them. This can be an empty drawer in the dresser, half of a shelf in the bathroom, or an inch of space in the closet, she said.

“If you are living in a bigger place and have two car garage, park on your side of the garage and not in the middle. If you have a bigger bed, sleep on one side and not in the middle,” she noted. “Start to symbolically show the universe you literally have room in your home for another.”

We can also do this with our time, and start scheduling time in to spend with our soulmate. For example, block out three hours on a Thursday night. If that time comes and your soulmate is not there, then go out and get a manicure, or go to the movies with a friend, said Ford. But actually put it into your schedule.

“I call this ‘living as if,’ when you’re ‘living as if’ you are knowing and trusting what you’ve asked for is already yours and your behavior is following your beliefs,” she said. “One of the things I did when I was manifesting my soulmate was every time I passed a card store I went in and bought birthday cards, anniversary cards, I Love You Just Because cards, Valentine’s Day cards – I had dozens of cards, all of which Brian now has because I knew that someday I would be giving it to him. So it wasn’t like I was waiting for the soulmate to buy the cards. I was anticipating and trusting that the soulmate was on the way.”

She told the story about a Hollywood actress who loved to cook, and every night she would come home from the set of her TV show and set the table for two. The woman would use the good China and silver, and have flowers, candles and music. She would make a delicious dinner, and by the end of six months, her soulmate was there at the table with her.

“We can’t see gravity, but we know it’s there, and it’s is the same thing with the law of attraction. It’s working all the time whether or not you believe it, whether or not you are using it in your favor,” Ford explained. “The law of attraction states, we draw to us the people, places and experiences that match our state of being, so if our state of being is –‘I am so lovable. I am so grateful for all the love in my life.’ – you will have one experience.
