VIDEO: Demi Lovato’s New Inspirational Book “Staying Strong” Out in Novemeber

Demi Lovato is releasing a new book with inspirational quotes, meditation tips and more entitled, “Staying Strong: 365 Days a Year,” which she announced on Keek in the video below. The book will be available November 19, and a Spanish version will be released December 3.

“I will be releasing a book called ‘Staying Strong,’ she says in the video. “I am a firm believer in starting off the day right with an inspirational quote and a morning meditation … it’s just something that I’m excited about. I hope you all like it, and I hope it inspires you all to [be] staying strong.”

She also plan to write a memoir following the release of “Staying Strong,” after signing a multi-book deal with Feiwel and Friends, an imprint of Macmillian.

The Law of Attraction: Getting Beyond Limiting Beliefs

I recently coached a woman on the law of attraction who was afraid the law wasn’t working for her. For the purpose of this article, we will call her Dea. She felt she had done the things she was supposed to do, including writing up affirmations, posting them on her wall, reading them daily, and feeling positive emotion as she read them. Dea believed she was following the law to the letter, but for some unexplained reason, the saw apparently did not work for her.

How often have you felt the same way? How many times have you believed the law of attraction works for everybody else but you?

Trust me, if you’ve felt that way, you are not alone. I’ve been there. I can’t stand on a pedestal and preach that I’ve always gotten what I wanted when I wanted it, but I also know realize that what is standing between me and what I desire is … ME!

The first step is taking responsibility for your life. When you believe the law of attraction works for some people and not for others, you become a victim. You are giving your power away by believing you don’t have the power to create, and by allowing yourself to believe you can’t have what other people have.

This feeling is negative. It is a feeling of lack. It is a vacuum, which sucks your dreams into darkness that feels so vast and thorough it is hard to believe you could ever retrieve them.

What was stopping Dea from getting what she desired? The first part was her victim mentality, thinking that outside events were stopping her from getting what she wanted. The second part was Dea believed she was doing what she needed to be doing in order to attract, but what she failed to recognize was she needed to pay attention to her subconscious thoughts.

This is where it gets tricky.

How do you know what your subconscious thoughts are? After all they are beneath the surface. There are two ways to know if a subconscious thought is driving your behavior.

  1. Life Patterns. These are patterns that appear over and over again in your life. For example, no matter what job you take, you keep working for an incompetent boss. You might take a totally different job in a place four states away from your last job, and yet your boss exhibits the same characteristics you thought you left behind.
  2. Emotional Triggers. These are triggers that cause you to have an irrational response. Perhaps somebody innocently tells you that you have an accent. This causes you to get angry, throw a fit and leave the person wondering what the heck just happened. This was an irrational emotional response.

Once you’ve identified you have a subconscious thought preventing you from feeling good, the next step is to recognize there is a limiting belief behind the thought. The limiting belief is the belief causing you to think you will always be abandoned. People will never love you. You will never get the job you desire. No matter how hard you try, it won’t work anyway. You’re not good enough, or bad things always happen to you.

So how does all of this fit into the law of attraction? You are not emitting positive vibrations when you are harboring limiting thoughts. You might be able to say your affirmations out loud, and maybe even feel for a few moments they are real the same way Dea did, but within you this subconscious voice is selling you on a different story.

There are several different methods out there to use in order to help with limiting beliefs. These include:

  • Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
  • The Sedona Method
  • Access Consciousness
  • The Emotion Code
  • The Healing Codes
  • Theta Healing

The key is to allow yourself to be in the most positive place possible, so you can believe you can achieve your goals and not just hope you can. Any of these methods can move you beyond subconscious beliefs and allow you to not only FEEL as if your dreams are real, but to experience them.

Katy Perry Talks Morning Meditation

In a recent Marie Claire magazine article, pop star Katy Perry spoke about her daily practice of transcendental meditation, explaining she likes to meditate in bed first thing in the morning for 20 minutes.

”I start the day with transcendental meditation,” she said. “It puts me in the best mood. I wake up and just prop myself up in bed for 20 minutes. It’s the only time my mind gets absolute rest. When I’m asleep, my subconscious mind is switched on and, when I’m awake, I’m alert.”

She also spoke about the importance of taking vitamins and probiotics for an afternoon boost of energy, and to help with digestion.

”Like everyone I have a four o’clock slump. I take vitamins after lunch and they give me an energy boost. I have iron, vitamins B, C and D and probiotics, which help with my digestion.”
